Bertrand Traore is set to snub interest from West Ham and Everton and sign for Lyon from Chelsea, according to French daily L’Equipe.

The 21-year-old has been at Chelsea for four years but has made only 16 appearances for the club, scoring four times as he has spent the majority of his Blues career away on loan.

A year and a half of that was in the Eredivise with Vitesse Arnhem where he scored 20 goals in 51 games, before moving to Ajax last season and scoring 13 times as they reached the Europa League final, losing to Manchester United.

Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has said Chelsea and Lyon are in “advanced talks” and now it appears a £16.75m deal is close to being done.

The Hammers reportedly held a brief interest in the frontman as they chase at least one new striker this summer but there interest was never truly concrete and in any case, the French side appear to have won the race for the Burkina Faso international.

With Chelsea linked with Romelu Lukaku, Alvaro Morata and Robert Lewandowski this window, Traore has no future at Stamford Bridge and now Antonio Conte is ready to let him go.
