Real Madrid are ready to target Juventus and Colombia attacker Juan Cuadrado if Liverpool target Lucas Vazquez ends up leaving the Santiago Bernabeu.
Don Balon are suggesting that Vazquez has drawn interest from Jurgen Klopp’s team and that Zinedine Zidane already has a like-for-like replacement in mind if the Spaniard depart the club.
The newspaper are also suggesting that Zidane’s team have Cuadrado, formerly of Chelsea, in thought as a replacement for Vazquez, which if it were to happen, would almost surely be an upgrade.
Since coming form the youth academy at the Santiago Bernabeu, Vazquez has failed to secure a first-team spot with Zinedine Zidane’s team thus far.
The attacker has played 27 games in the league so far this season. However, a large part of these have been from the substitute’s bench.
Since moving to Juventus from Chelsea in the summer of 2015, South American Cuadrado has managed to clock up a whole of 13 goals and 24 assists in 108 games for the Old Lady, a formidable return for a player of his quality and position.
If Vazquez ends up leaving Madrid, it’ll be interesting to see if Los Blancos end up making a move to attempt and bring Cuadrado to the Spanish side.
