Real Madrid have apparently decided on where Luka Modric will perform his football next campaign.

The Real Madrid star could leave the Bernabeu at the end of the campaign as they plan a mass-shake up of their squad following a frustrating La Liga season.

The Gunners and Liverpool are believed to be hoping to bring the Croatian back to the Premier League.

And now the player has reportedly made his decision about where he sees his future lie.

According to Spanish newspaper Diario Gol, Modric wishes to join Liverpool if his current employers want to sell him in the summer.

However, Los Blancos are believed to have drawn up a plan to off-load the former Tottenham man.

Zinedine Zidane’s team are keen on taking Emre Can to the Spanish giants.

So any deal for Modric could likely rely on Can, whose contract expires at the end of the season, accepting a transfer to Real.

That would then make a Modric surplus to requirements, and he would be put up for sale for €60million (£53m), suggest Diario Gol.

Jurgen Klopp still has a transfer war-chest to perform with following the sale of Philippe Coutinho is January.
