Nottingham Forest have made an offer to land Chelsea’s Charly Musonda on loan, as reported by the Telegraph.
Aitor Karanka wants to make him his first signing at the team. The Spanish manager has taken charge of the Championship side and is now preparing for to make some signings before the transfer window ends.
The midfielder, who is 21 years-old, is an attacking midfielder. He was born in Brussels and has served Belgium in U15, U16, U17, U19 and U21 level. He is highly rated at Stamford Bridge and is being tipped for a big future in the game.
The Blues are no strangers to loaning out a footballer and usually let players go out on loan to get some first-team experience. They have the players of Tomas Kalas, Lewis Bakers, Michael Hector and Fikayo Tomori all out on loan at Championship teams.
Musonda started his career at Anderlecht and spent ten seasons with their academy before being snapped up by Chelsea in 2012, alongside his two older siblings. He signed his first professional deal at Stamford Bridge in October 2013.
He was sent out on loan to Spanish club Real Betis for the 2015/16 and 2016/17 campaign to gain some first-team experience. He performed 24 times for them.
Chelsea are making plans for the exit of Antonio Conte this summer, according to stories.
The Italian manager is being tipped to leave Stamford Bridge at the end of the campaign, despite making a massive impact on the club.
Conte led Chelsea to the Premier League crown the last term after taking over in 2016, however, has never had a comfortable relationship with the Chelsea hierarchy and is now wholly expected to move on.
The Daily Mail suggest that Chelsea have already started work on finding his successors and have found head coaches who could take the helm in West London.
Juventus manager Max Allegri and ex Barcelona coach Luis Enrique are the leading contenders, it’s reported.
Allegri has won three Serie A trophies in Turin, however, his deal runs until 2020 which could make him tough to lure away from Juventus.
Enrique left as Barcelona head coach last summer having led them to two La Liga crowns and the Champions League during three terms at the Nou Camp. He’s thought to be interested in working in the Premier League.
Also under consideration is Maurizio Sarri, the current manager of Serie A leaders Napoli.
Chelsea full-back Baba Rahman could join Schalke this month after the Bundesliga club announced they are in negotiations with the Ghanian.
Rahman, 21, moved to Chelsea in 2015 and played 23 games in his debut campaign, which was made tough by Jose Mourinho‘s sacking just four months after he joined.
The African then spent a season-long loan with Schalke in the 2016/17 season and Chelsea have signed the likes of Marcos Alonso and Davide Zappacosta at full-back since he last performed at Stamford Bridge.
Antonio Conte is also keen on Juventus defender Alex Sandro and Schalke have revealed they’re keen on landing Rahman this month.
“We’re in talks with Chelsea regarding Baba Rahman,” claimed sporting executive Christian Heidel.
“There are still one or two things to clear up on their end. We could agree on a deal with the player himself relatively quickly.”
Conte annoucned last month that Rahman was still recovering from a long-term knee injury and, though he was not in his ideas, the fuul-back was free to use the club’s facilities to get himself back up to speed.
The Blues signed Rahman for around £20m in 2015 and will try to recoup as much of that fee as possible if he move to German giants.
