Italian giants Juventus are reportedly eyeing Chelsea shot-stopper Thibaut Courtois as a long-term replacement to Gianluigi Buffon.

The 25-year-old is said to be asking wages more than £200,000 a week to pen a new deal with the Blues, with his current contract due to end in 2019.

As reported by the Het Laaste Nieuws, Juve have been made informed of Courtois’s possible impasse at Stamford Bridge and are thinking making him an offer to switch to Turin at the end of the campaign.

Buffon, 39, is due to retire at the end of the campaign and though Wojciech Szczesny has been landed from Arsenal as his successor, the Old Lady are understood to be in the market for a higher-calibre option.

Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are also rolling for the Belgian, while Atletico Madrid have been linked with a transfer to bring him back to La Liga if they lose Jan Oblak.

Courtois has won the Premier League twice and one League Cup during his time in England.

Meanwhile, A host of Premier League side have made communication with Shakhtar Donetsk contract rebel Bernard, according to stories in his native Brazil.

After some underwhelming seasons with the Ukrainian giants, he has hit top form this campaign though his current contract ends next summer, making him even more in demand.

He had been linked with a return to his nation with Palmeiras. However, Brazilian website UOL Sport suggests that he would favour to stay in Europe and is drawing lots of interest.

The Premier League now appears like it could be his next team, with Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool all reaching out to the player’s camp according to a man close to Bernard.

Although the trio of English side would prefer to pick Bernard up for nothing next summer, they could be required to move for him in January if battle heats up.

However with only a few months to run on his deal, Shakhtar have set an asking price of just £11.5m – a snip in today’s market.

Bernard has long been linked with the Premier League since moving to Shakhtar in 2013, with former Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas trying to bring him to White Hart Lane.

Interest dipped when his form tailed off, and he lost his place in the Brazil team, but he has scored three times in the league this season and grabbed a brace against Feyenoord in the Champions League.
