Manchester United now seems to have been given a boost in their effort to land Juventus left-back Alex Sandro as stories from Italy claim Juventus are chasing Tottenham’s Danny Rose to succeed the Brazilian. Rose himself has earlier been linked with a move to Old Trafford, however, with Juventus now believed to be interested in the 27-year-old, Spurs would likely be more open work with the Italian side rather than their Premier League rivals.

That in itself may mean Alex Sandro would be ready for Manchester United switch.

Although The Blues have also been linked to the signing of the Brazilian star, the appearance of Marcos Alonso in their side means Sandro may not want to go there as it may be tough for him to get regular performing time with the Blues related to United.

At Old Trafford, Alex Sandro would have Daley Blind, Marcos Rojo, Luke Shaw, Ashley Young and Matteo Darmian to fight with and he would surely be the first choice. The South American’s deal doesn’t end in Turin until 2020 but he is underpaid at Juventus, and with the English sides set to double his wages, he could undoubtedly be motivated to move.

Juventus are believed to be set to let him go for €60 million (£53m), which, considering the current market, is a good price for a footballer of Alex Sandro’s quality.
