Arsenal are vying for Inter Milan star Geoffrey Kondogbia.
The North Londoners have a shocking campaign, and a summer reinforcement is expected.
Beleaguered Arsene Wenger did manage an impressive 2-0 victory over AC Milan on Thursday.
However, victory in the Europa League is now the north Londoner’s only opportunity of playing Champions League football next year.
As reported by the Italian outlet FC Inter News, Kondogbia could be a new arrival in the summer.
But, he won’t be cheap assuming Valencia get their way.
The Frenchman is now on loan at the La Liga side, and they have an option to buy him permanently.
Valencia only needs to cough up £22m to keep the talented player.
It’s claimed they’ll take advantage of Kondogbia’s almost free buy-out and then sell him to Arsenal.
He has also been linked with a move to Tottenham.
Mauricio Pochettino is already well stocked in his midfield dynamo room though.has been a standout performer and ever-present for a resurgent Valencia this term.
He’s racked up 26 appearances and scored four goals.
After years of turmoil, Valencia are sitting fourth in La Liga – eight points clear of Sevilla in fifth.
