Arsenal understands they can finalise a transfer for Paris Saint-Germain loanee Goncalo Guedes (€40.9m) next summer, according to stories.

The 21-year-old joined PSG for a fee of around £26million in winter. However, the attacker only played 13 first-team games before being sent on loan to Valencia for the 2017/18 campaign.

With Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil set to leave Arsenal, Arsene Wenger is searching in the market potential replacements and the young Portugues has developed as a top target.

The Daily Mail suggests the North Londoners are hopeful of signing  Guedes at the end of the campaign as PSG are under stress from UEFA to balance the books after the high-profile summer arrivals of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.

Guedes has netted three goals in 11 La Liga games for Valencia this season as the club sit second in the standings behind Barcelona.

Guedes was strongly linked with a transfer to Manchester United before he finalised a move to Paris last January.

Arsenal’s newly-selected director of football, Raul Sanllehi, is ready to play a massive role in bringing reinforcements to the Emirates ahead of the 2018/19 season.

Thomas Lemar stays tight on Arsenal’s radar. However, the north London side will not match the £90m offer they made for the Monaco star in the summer.
