Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is reportedly interested in signing Real Madrid winger Lucas Vazquez.
Vazquez has been strongly involved in the Real Madrid squad this campaign. However, the 26-year-old has only played five La Liga games during the 2017-18 season – managing just one goal in the manner.
Gareth Bale’s return to fitness will further harm Vazquez’s opportunities for first-team action, and it is believed that the Spaniard is considering his future at the Bernabeu.
As reported by the Don Balon, news of Vazquez’s situation at Real Madrid has alerted Arsenal, with the Premier League club recognizing Vazquez as a possible replacement for Alexis Sanchez.
The Chilean star will be out of the deal at the Emirates Stadium next summer, and it seems almost inevitable that the South American will leave either this month or on a free transfer at the end of the current campaign.
Mesut Ozil and Jack Wilshere will also see their Arsenal deals end at the point of June 2018.
Meanwhile, Arsene Wenger is confident that another contract rebel Mesut Ozil will secure new deal at the Emirates.
